Description:
(Ruler) Stephen Tvrtko I of Bosnia became the first king of Bosnia after rising to power as ban of Bosnia in 1353. He significantly grew the Kingdom of Bosnia by capturing nearby lands, such as parts of the Serbian Empire. Tvrtko took command of the Adriatic coast, key coastal cities, and developed a navy. He also acquired substantial territories in Dalmatia and Croatia during a political turmoil in Hungary and Croatia. Tvrtko successfully defended against Ottoman invasions throughout his rule, leaving a robust economy and enlarged territories as his legacy.
