Lepa Brena, a Yugoslav singer, actress, and businesswoman, is widely recognized as the most successful recording artist from the former Yugoslavia, with approximately 25 million records sold. She is credited with pioneering the turbo-folk genre through her early albums. Brena is considered a symbol of the former Yugoslavia and has referred to herself as "Yugo-nostalgic." Together with her husband and a friend, she established and managed Grand Production, the leading record label and production company in the Balkans, which was later sold for €30 million.
