Elvira Espejo Ayca is an Indigenous Bolivian artist, poet, and former director of the National Museum of Ethnography and Folklore in La Paz. She is known for her work in promoting cultural exchange between Europe and South America through her writing and art. Ayca is fluent in both Aymara and Quechua languages and has received recognition for her poetry, winning awards such as "best international poet" at the World Festival of Venezuelan Poetry. Despite facing challenges, she continues to be a dedicated advocate for preserving and showcasing Indigenous cultures.
