María Nela Prada Tejada is a Bolivian diplomat and politician associated with the Movement for Socialism (MAS-IPSP). With a background in international relations and economics, she previously worked as the chief of staff to Luis Arce when he was the minister of economy. In 2020, she made history by being appointed as the first female minister of the presidency. Prada has also held various governmental positions, including director of the Bolivian Port Services Administration. Her advocacy work includes leading efforts to promote reconciliation and combat corruption in cases of femicide and rape.
