Sangay Wangchuk

Sangay Wangchuk is a Bhutanese long-distance runner who achieved success by setting a national record in the men's marathon at the 2009 World Championships in Athletics. With a time of 2:47:55, he surpassed the previous record. Wangchuk, a member of the Royal Bhutan Army, continued his running career and participated in the Third Coronation Marathon in Wangdue Phodrang in 2010. Despite finishing second in that race, his dedication and skill as a runner have made him a respected figure in Bhutan's athletic community.
