Kunzang Choden is a prominent Bhutanese writer known for being the first Bhutanese woman to write a novel in English. She holds degrees in Psychology and Sociology and has worked for the United Nations Development Program in Bhutan. Choden's debut novel, "The Circle of Karma," published in 2005, explores gender roles in Bhutan during a period of modernization. She later co-founded a publishing house and contributed to cultural preservation by renovating her ancestral home into a museum and heritage site.
