Vitaly Vasilyevich Shishov was a committed Belarusian political activist and dissident based in exile, who led the Belarusian House in Ukraine. He played a pivotal role in aiding those fleeing political persecution in Belarus after the 2020–2021 protests. Sadly, Shishov's career took a tragic turn when he disappeared from his residence in Kyiv and was subsequently discovered deceased in a park. This event raised suspicions of foul play and fears of his possible assassination by agents of the Belarusian government.
