(Former Indian Revolutionary Nationalist Known for Pahartali European Club Attack (1932)) Pritilata Waddedar, a Bengali revolutionary nationalist active in the Indian independence movement, completed her education in Chattogram and Dhaka before graduating with distinction in philosophy from Bethune College in Kolkata. She subsequently worked as a school teacher. Pritilata is hailed as "Bengal's first woman martyr" for her leadership in an armed assault on the Pahartali European Club in 1932. Following the attack, she tragically took her own life, leaving behind a letter detailing the objectives of the Indian Republican Army, Chittagong Branch.
