(6th Prime Minister of Azerbaijan (2003 - 2018)) Artur Tahir oghlu Rasizade is an Azerbaijani politician who held the position of Prime Minister of Azerbaijan from 1996 to 2018 during the authoritarian rule of Heydar Aliyev and later his son Ilham Aliyev. Despite his extended time in office, Rasizade was perceived as having limited political sway and remained largely unknown internationally. His exit from the role did not draw significant interest or discussion. Rasizade was affiliated with the Communist Party during the Azerbaijan SSR era.
