Christoph Waltz is an Austrian actor known for his roles in films such as Inglourious Basterds and Django Unchained, both of which earned him Academy Awards for Best Supporting Actor. He decided to pursue acting at a young age and began his career as a stage actor, performing at venues such as the Schauspielhaus Zürich. Later, he transitioned to television, appearing in numerous TV films and series. Waltz primarily worked in German-language films, often portraying villainous characters, before gaining international recognition for his role as Colonel Hans Landa in Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds. The film was both a critical and commercial success, winning him his first Oscar as well as a BAFTA Award for Best Supporting Actor.
