Bob Simpson

Bob Simpson is a former cricketer from Australia who played for New South Wales, Western Australia, and the national team. He served as captain of the Australian team during two separate periods and later became a successful coach. Known as Bobby or Simmo, he was a right-handed batsman and occasional leg spin bowler. Simpson led the team to several significant victories, including winning the 1987 World Cup and regaining The Ashes in 1989. He also coached county cricket in England with Leicestershire and Lancashire.
