Lew Hoad

Lewis Alan Hoad had a successful tennis career from 1950 to 1973, winning several Major singles tournaments and representing Australia in the Davis Cup. He held the world No. 1 ranking in both amateur and professional tennis. Despite facing back issues, he competed at a high level, even making occasional tournament appearances after retiring. Hoad later went on to own and manage a tennis resort in Spain.
