Ellyse Perry is an Australian sportswoman and the first Australian to represent the nation internationally in both cricket and soccer. She made her international cricket and soccer debut less than 2 weeks apart. Ellyse is regarded as the youngest player to make her debut for both the Australian women's national cricket team and the Australia women's national soccer team. She is an all-rounder, equally skilled as a right-handed batswoman and a fast-medium bowler. In soccer, Ellyse plays as a defender. Even though both the soccer and the cricket associations want to retain her in their respective sports, she has faced the struggle to choose between one, in the past. Ellyse has even accepted that she might have to give up one of the two sports in the future.
