Isabella, also known as Isabel or Zabel, reigned as the queen of Armenian Cilicia from 1219 until her passing in 1252. She skillfully managed political obstacles during her rule, including challenges from Adam of Baghras and Constantine of Baberon. Isabella successfully thwarted a dynastic conflict instigated by Raymond-Roupen. Despite initial difficulties in her marriage to Hethum, she later reconciled, uniting the Roupenids and Hethumids in Cilicia and altering the political landscape in the region significantly.
