Description: (Singer-Songwriter, Actress and Lead Singer of the R&B Group ‘Destiny’s Child’)

Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter, more popularly known as Beyoncé, is an R&B artist who first rose to fame as the lead singer of the all-girl group Destiny’s Child, which included Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams. After a highly successful stint with the group, which became one of the world’s best-selling girl groups, Beyoncé embarked on a solo career. Her solo career began with a bang; her debut album, Dangerously in Love, won five Grammy Awards and sold nearly 10 million copies worldwide. Even as a child, she displayed a keen interest in music and dance from an early age and regularly participated in local talent shows. She surprised her school authorities when she won a talent show at the age of seven, defeating contestants much older than her. She initially formed a girls' group called Girl’s Tyme with some friends before it was later rebranded as Destiny’s Child. Recognizing her talent, her father decided to become her manager. Destiny’s Child went on to become one of the most successful girl groups of all time. After this, Beyoncé ventured into an even more successful solo career as a singer and actress.
