(Algerian Revolutionary Leader and Co-Founder of the 'National Liberation Front') Mohamed Boudiaf was a prominent Algerian political leader who played a crucial role in the National Liberation Front (FLN) during the Algerian War of Independence. He was one of the founders of the FLN and went into exile after independence. Boudiaf later returned after 27 years to become Chairman of the High Council of State in 1992. However, his return was tragically cut short when he was assassinated just four months later.
