Nūr ad-Dīn 'Abd ar-Rahmān Jāmī was a Sunni poet-theologian and scholar known for his significant contributions to mystical Sufi literature. He was affiliated with the school of Ibn Arabi and a Khwājagānī Sũfī, admired for his eloquence and profound insights into metaphysics, particularly the concept of mercy. Jami's professional focus was on writing, where he produced renowned poetic works like Haft Awrang, Tuhfat al-Ahrar, and Layla wa Majnun. Additionally, he was a member of the Naqshbandi Sufi order.
