Enrique Tarrio is a controversial figure known for his involvement in far-right activism as the former chairman of the Proud Boys. He was convicted of seditious conspiracy for his role in the US Capitol attack and sentenced to 22 years in prison. Prior to his far-right activities, Tarrio served as the Florida state director for Latinos for Trump and was briefly a candidate in the Republican primary for Florida's 27th congressional district. Additionally, he worked as an informant for law enforcement agencies from 2012 to 2014.
