Oleg Yankovskiy is a Russian theater and film actor. Was born in Moscow into a family of actors. As a child, he was involved in various sports - swimming, athletics, tennis, football, basketball. He didn't come to the desire to become an actor right away. At first he wanted to be a pilot, an astronaut; according to him, he was attracted by the unknown. Only from the age of 15-16 did cinema become his priority. Family traditions also had an impact. Studied at the Moscow International Film School. Then he studied at RATI-GITIS at the directing and acting department, workshop of Sergey Zhenovach, which he graduated in 2013.

Yakovskiy made his film debut at the age of 10, starring in the film Prikhodi na menya posmotret (2001). And his first success and recognition among the public came after the role of Andrey in the film Indigo (2008), which tells about people with superpowers.
