Jacques Besnard was born on 15 July 1929 in Le Petit-Quevilly, Seine-Inférieure [now Seine-Maritime], France. He was a director and assistant director, known for Le fou du labo IV (1967), Le grand restaurant (1966) and La belle affaire (1973). He died on 9 November 2013 in Boutigny-Prouais, Eure-et-Loir, France.
