A seasoned artist with over four decades of experience and a National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor to his credit, Suresh Oberoi has appeared in around two-hundred movies in a career spanning over four decades. He started out in showbiz as a model and radio presenter, before eventually venturing into Bollywood in the late 1970s.Since his feature film debut in Jeevan Mukt (1977), the veteran actor has proven his versatility by portraying a wide range of roles, not only in Hindi cinema, but in Kannada, Telugu and Bengali movies as well. Some of Oberoi's best-known performances have come in films like Laawaris (1981), Namak Halaal (1982), Ghar Ek Mandir (1984) and Mirch Masala (1987), the last of which won him a National Award. He also received Filmfare Award nominations for his work in Laawaris and Ghar Ek Mandir.Besides acting, Oberoi has also hosted TV shows like Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai (2002) and Awakening With Brahmakumari's. Other significant movie credits in recent times include the romantic comedy Socha Na Tha (2005), the Kannada biopic Attahaasa (2013), the Bollywood historical drama Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi (2019), PM Narendra Modi (2019) and Kabir Singh(2019).
