Poppen is a Los Angeles native and a veteran screenwriter, director and producer. In addition to writing and directing the award-winning family film "Chilly Christmas", his additional 70-plus credits include Emmy nominated television events such as "Wonderful World of Disney" specials for ABC, "The ESPY Awards," and "X-Games" for ESPN, and FOX network's "Miss Universe" starring Steve Harvey. Upcoming projects include the coming-of-age feature drama "Four Strings", which Poppen will once again act as both screenwriter and director.
