René Cardona Jr. was born on 11 May 1939 in Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico. He was a director and writer, known for Traficantes de pánico (1980), Treasure of the Amazon (1985) and ¡Tintorera! (1977). He died on 5 February 2003 in Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico.
