In 1984, he attempted to set up a creative workshop in Johannesburg, South Africa to help teach executives how to speak English properly and to assist them with public speaking. When this did not take off, he returned to England with good friend Graham Murray, who was at his bedside when David died in Malaga, Spain in 1985.
