German actor Christian Oliver worked in the entertainment industry for more than 15 years, with, among others, Steven Soderbergh in The Good German; with Brian Singer and Tom Cruise in Valkyrie; and with the Wachowski sisters in Speed Racer. He also starred in Europe's Number One action series Alarm for Cobra 11 (RTL) for two years and had numerous other TV appearances in the US and Germany.

Perished along with his two daughters, Madita and Annik, when a small passenger plane they were on-board crashed into the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of Bequia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, on January 4, 2024. The plane's pilot also died on impact. The plane took off from Bequia Airport and was en route to the neighboring island of St. Lucia.
