Jacob David Smith is an award-winning writer and director, from Des Moines, Iowa and Chicago, Illinois. He studied film and playwriting at the University of Iowa, and graduated from Cornell College with honors in playwriting. He works in development with Hold for Plane Pictures and Marasco Media, and is former Artistic Director of Theatre Unleashed. An advocate for Autism awareness, Smith teaches acting classes, and a film class, for young people on the Autism spectrum. Smith enjoys making films, throwing darts, and watching cats drink water.
