Franco Solinas

Franco Solinas was an Italian writer and screenwriter active from the 1950s to the early 1980s, who specialized in political and historical films. He is best known for the screenplay of La battaglia di Algeri (1966), which was nominated for three Academy Awards. He worked with several acclaimed directors, including Joseph Losey, Costa-Gavras, Gillo Pontecorvo, and Francesco Rosi.
