Summary My father, who art in nature, is a documentary film by Alden Olmsted, son of California naturalist and John Muir follower John Olmsted. John left the family when Alden was very young to preserve thousands of acres of California parks from Mendocino to Lake Tahoe - including, among others, Jug Handle State Reserve, Goat Mountain, the South Yuba Wild & Scenic River, Bridgeport covered bridge, the Independence Trail State Park, and many more. On September 29Th of this past year, cancer was found in John's liver, and he was given six months to live.
