Summary Edward Wood is a an 84-year-old African American man, a veteran of the US Navy and the American Civil Rights Movement, and one of a few who personally witnessed the 1961 Freedom Riders Greyhound bus burning by an angry mob of Ku Klux Klan members in Anniston, Alabama. Wood tells his inspiring, spiritual and often humorous life story from his living room, as well as locations around Anniston that were the scenes of both violence and victory in the struggle for equal rights for African Americans in the deep Jim Crow South of the 50's and 60's.
