A SOLDIER'S HEART and the Long Road Home follows psychotherapist and author Dr. Edward Tick and the courageous journeys of five Viet Nam veterans suffering from PTSD, who agreed after 38 years to take a profound journey back to the places where they killed or saw their comrades killed, as a critical step in their own healing.

Beehive Stories is a project that tells the stories of everyday Utahans through short documentaries, one for each county in the state. This is a story of Millard County. In it, George Murakami, age 85, shares the unlikely story of how he came to live in Utah for most of his life, despite being relocated there against his will to the Topaz Interment Camp as a teenager from Berkeley. Set in Millard County's unforgiving desert terrain, his high school years were unusual (the camp had a track team!) and harsh, yet circumstances took an unexpected turn after the war and George would eventually forge his own path in a Salt Lake suburb, this time on his own terms.

Based on biography of the Russian surgeon Nikolai Ivanovich Pirogov (1810 - 1881). Pirogov lost his father at age 14. He vigorously studied medicine and was qualified as physician in 1828, still only 17 years old. Pirogov continued his studies in Europe and received a chair of surgery at the German University of Dorpat. From 1840 he practiced general surgery in St. Petersburg, Russia. In 1851 he invented the full-plaster cast after seeing a working sculptor. During the Crimean War (1854 - 1856) doctor Pirogov was a surgeon in Sevastopol. There he introduced the mass use of anesthetic. His innovative surgical techniques saved many lives. Pirogov promoted equal rights and access to education for women.
