Motel the Operator

A just-established totalitarian government places a new teacher in a classroom of young children while the old teacher is sent away. The new teacher challenges the students' view of their world. Young Johnny asks questions, but the teacher manages to twist the truth into reasonable answers. It doesn't take long for the children to see things the new teacher's way.

Francis Massey works as a clerk in deputy commissioner's office in the colonial administration of British India. He aspires to become one of the rulers and does everything he can to impress his boss.

A CAUSE FOR ALARM FEATURE FILM: Invalid Christopher Jones is both physically and mentally ill. He mistakenly believes his husband Allen and his Doctor/best friend, Ryan, are having an affair and also planning to kill him. He writes a letter to the District Attorney detailing their alleged murder plot. After he has Allen give the letter to their postman, he reveals its contents to him and then threatens to kill him. The excitement proves to much and Christopher suffers a fatal collapse. Now Allen must find a way to retrieve the incriminating letter.

Forty-something single mother Minoo is a product of the Islamic Revolution, a generation of women repressed by changes in law under the new Islamic Republic. Her daughter Pegah is a rebellious youth, part of a generation in search of an identity they're yet to find. Together they live with Minoo's mother - three women of three different generations, living in the past, present and future. When Pegah takes off on an existential journey, Minoo realizes she needs to reconnect her fracturing family, and sets out to find Pegah - encountering a myriad of Tehran characters, including an improvisational indie rock band. Things take a turn for the worse when she loses her mother along the way.
