Morfar, morfar

Lal Salam is a 1990 Malayalam political film directed by Venu Nagavalli starring Mohanlal, Murali, Geetha and Urvashi in the lead roles. The story revolves around two phases of the lives of three Comrades - before and after the imprisonment of Sakhav Nettoor Stephen, Sakhav T.K. Antony (Inspired from T.V.Thomas) and Sakhav Sethulakshmi,(Inspired From Smt.K.R. Gouri Amma) members of the Communist Party of India (Marxist).

Two young friends get separated. Years later, the girl writes a serial based on her life. She names the protagonists with their childhood names, hoping that it will help her reunite with her friend.

After graduating from high school, Shiro is clueless how to proceed with his education. For the moment, he takes a small job at a local gas station, to much displease of his parents. His America-idolizing grandmother however gives Shiro all support, as she believes that "gas stations are a romantic place for wanderers". Grandmother is right about romance, when a girl called Noriko comes to work at the gas station too, after she broke up with her boyfriend. Shiro develops a huge crush on Noriko, and with this bitter-sweet first love, Shiro enters maturity.

A policeman's widow (Archer) uncovers corruption within the force after meeting a woman (Alonso) who was tied to her husband's mysterious death.

Although she's still hung up on the man who broke her heart, club dancer Simona pledges to eradicate all memories of him by removing the tattoos he put on her body. Complicating matters is Mariel, the owner of a Barcelona tattoo shop whose obsession with Simona's undulating form leads him to steal the money to help her pay for the necessary laser treatments.
