In 1919 Virginia, Rose Trenton mistakes pity for love and agrees to marry George Prothero, who was blinded in the war. She breaks the engagement, however, when she realizes she loves Sandy Sanderson, and the heartbroken, cynical George goes to Europe to forget. Upon his return from Paris, George takes his old friend Sandy for a ride, and George returns alone with the explanation that Sandy was killed by an assailant and he (George) was unable to help. The next day Rose receives, in reply to her letter to a French eye specialist, a report that George was cured of his blindness sometime ago. Sandy rushes in and describes George's attack on him; George confesses and leaves in disgrace.

Midwestern life comes to a halt when a young girl is found brutally murdered in a dumpster behind a small-town diner. There's something not quite right about the deserted church on the edge of town.

A teacher named Basudev Kattel who is suffering from poverty seeks to his friend named Kumar (Neer Bikram Shah) than he realized Kathmandu is filled of corruption.

One night, high schools students Gina and Wayne have sex. Several weeks later during a student council meeting at school, Gina asks to open the office of student body president to girls as well as boys. The proposal passes and she is persuaded to run. Then Gina discovers that she is pregnant. She tells her mother and is stunned to learn that her mother got unexpectedly pregnant in high school before marrying Gina's father and Gina was the result. Her mother urges her to have an abortion. At first, Gina agrees, but then she decides not to go ahead with the abortion saying, "If my mother had done it, I wouldn't be here." Gina returns to school and in a campaign speech she tells the student body that she has learned responsibility and how to live with the consequences of what you do.
