Epic film about life of three generations in central Russia on the Volga river.

Irish insurgents guard their British prisoners-of-war in a remote farmstead. Gradually the opposing soldiers come to respect, even like each other. This greatly worries Frank Callahan, the Irish leader, because his prisoners may have to be killed in reprisal if the British execute two IRA soldiers as they threaten.

A psychological study of a hero who, being badly beaten up by Gestapo, rats on his comrades and friends and becomes their vicious killer. Now the death seems like a salvation for him.

In 1944, an American bomber squadron is tense and discontented from too many missions over France. Luck runs out for Capt. Stevens and his crew; they must bail out and are promptly taken prisoner. Their wily German captors, sensing that they have valuable information unknown even to themselves, use every form of velvet-glove trickery to worm it out of them. Will Stevens discover the danger? If so, what can he do about it? The fate of 100 planes depends on the answer.

It's 1922. From a Madrid that opposes the war, arrives destined to the North of Africa, without much enthusiasm, the Infantry Captain Fernando Salas, who will incorporate the battalion of the Commander Almendro, a veteran of the African war that soon observes a clear lack of vocation in the Captain.
