Alaouié presents the stories of four exiles from Beirut. Their only connection is the voice of the narrator and their situation of living in exile in Europe. Told with a subtle humor, the film sketches four highly individual portraits of people, whose lives have taken unexpected turns due to the madness of the Civil War.

Liberators Over East anglia--The Second Air Division began operations in England with the arrival of the 93rd Bomb Group in 1942. Soon more B-24 bomb groups arrived as the Second Air Division began to establish its credentials at Ploesti and in the air war across German-held Europe. This documentary traces the story of the fourteen Liberator bomb groups in the Second Air Division. During the war the Liberators made their mark upon history and today the victory won in the skies over Europe remains a significant part of the legacy left behind by the men of the Second Air Division. Home is the most important place in the world. In every culture it is a space for our most intimate human needs. It is the place where we crave safety and security. Safety and security are shattered when a son or daughter is killed. A bedroom is empty. Someone is absent from every meal. Grieving parents can become isolated. This is a story of Israeli and Palestinian parents who do not line up to blame the other community for their loss. Instead, they form a circle with one another to grieve together. They act publicly to end the conflict between their communities. This group does not seek growth in numbers, but in understanding. They want no other parent to suffer the pain they have endured.

One of the world's oldest city and for many years the heart of the Syrian economy, Aleppo is now ravaged by war. This immersive footage was shot with the Syrian Civil Defense teams of Aleppo, the unarmed volunteers performing search and rescue, recently nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. Filmed in 360°, the video is an insight on their every day struggle and a visit through the devastated city. The film includes include interviews with White Helmets as well as scenes of bombings and the rescue of those trapped in the rubble.

As Liberia recovers from civil war, health workers and midwives are in short supply. When village women give birth, they are usually helped by a traditional birth attendant from their own community. This film tells the story of a training programme, developed by the Liberian Ministry of Health and the ICRC, to improve the skills of traditional birth attendants. When the participants complete the course, they know how to help with normal deliveries and when to send women with problems to the nearest health centre.

Before their third bombing mission over Germany the crew of the Boomerang prayed under the wing of the aircraft. It was then that the pilot, Charles Arnett, knew he wasn't coming back. He went anyway. His son, Mark Arnett, spent 14 years making a documentary about how his dad was shot down over Germany, spent eleven months as prisoner of war, and returned home to marry the girl he had only met three times. But Mark could never seem to finish the documentary. In March of 2008, Mark's father passed away. Mark finished it in a week.
