Amelia (Amy) Pittman (Vanessa Simoes) is forced to interact with her father Fred (Jody Mitchell), who abandoned her as a child and now has Alzheimer's.

Anna, mother of three, has lived for 40 years in her corner of hell. She was an impertinent and unfortunate girl, but by now she has become a generous woman, perhaps far too tolerant. She is a prisoner of her own duties and her family. She is comforted by underprivileged "poor little souls", but is actually surrounded by many demons, real and imaginary.

Raja Saheb, a wealthy stern father, clashes with son Mahendra who dies. Virendra leaves home, joins Pran's gang, falls for Nutan. Raja reveals his past love had a dancer daughter Padmini. Virendra plans to bring her home as his sister.
