Scottish warrior William Wallace leads his countrymen in a rebellion to free his homeland from the tyranny of King Edward I of England.

A story in the legends that follows people as they live through a time of peace that descends into that of warfare and chaos. It follows Jiang Shang all the way to the Shang Dynasty as he goes head to head with Xin Emperor.

In the late Zhou Dynasty, the King of Zhou acts arbitrarily and exhausts all resources to build up his military power, causing the people to live a miserable life and the country to be on the verge of collapse. Taking advantage of the chaos, demons come to cause disturbances in the human world. As his body is possessed by the fox demon, the King of Zhou orders to capture and kill all hunters in nationwide. Han Qi's parents are cruelly killed by soldiers. Luckily, Han Qi is saved by the lord of Linjing Valley, whom he accepts as his master. He then practices Taoism and becomes a martial arts expert. His master assigns a task to him, that is, to protect Zishang in Feng city, and assist her in finding the nine supreme tripods. After overcoming obstacles, they eliminate the demons in Feng city.

The story is based on Chang 'an in the period of Emperor Yizong of Tang Dynasty, the Five Fingers Mountain of Buddha which located on the road the West, and the design prototype of Lin Tuyi, the leading role, is based on Erlang God. Lin Tuyi was brought up in the mountain of Cliff Village, isolated from the rest of the world, obsessed yearning to the King City, and desire to become a martial arts master, and walk around the world. The arrival of King City's army broke the quietness of Cliff Village, blowing up chaos, and lead to the love story of Lin Tuyi and the fox "Hula-ling".

A sheltered and manipulative Southern belle and a roguish profiteer face off in a turbulent romance as the society around them crumbles with the end of slavery and is rebuilt during the Civil War and Reconstruction periods.
