"Kosovo is the heart of Serbia", is a slogan that means nothing if the state does not take care of the Serbs who live and work in Kosovo. An individual against the system or a system against an individual is exactly the story that is happening to Zoran Kovacevic from Gnjilan. He is just one of the workers who worked in the Tax Administration of UNMIK, who listened to the invitation of the Government of Serbia in 2008, and since then he has been fighting for his rights.

Paradoxically, since 2008, he has been in a legal dispute with his former employer - the City of Novi Pazar, because the land on which the shack is located was leased to another person, as if Adem did not live there.

Bristolska straza

After 106 years, the Hotel Bristol in the center of Belgrade stopped receiving guests in August 2018. By decision of the Government, it was decided that its management will be taken over by the company Belgrade on water. In one part of it, several decades ago, dozens of families of military personnel, displaced from the territory of the former SFRY, were "temporarily housed". Due to the announced reconstruction of the hotel, they all had to move out. Despite opposition and even a hunger strike, in September 2019, all homeless military men and their families were evicted from the hotel and placed in three locations in Belgrade.

According to the data of the International Red Cross, in the Republic of Croatia, two thousand persons of Serbian and Croatian nationality have been reported as missing since the wars of the 1990s. One of them is Mijo Milan Radic, who disappeared on November 8, 1991 in Vukovar. For almost 30 years, his family has been searching for him. They don't believe that he can be alive, they want to bury him and mark his grave. The Small Big Stories team followed Iva Radic Kostic's shocking search for her missing father through Vukovar, Petrovaradin, Zagreb and Belgrade.
