Oksana was abandoned by her mother and she ended up in an orphanage. There she met Peteya, who became her friend. When they grew up, it seems that they will always be there. But Oksana falls in love with Sasha.

En plus d'être amis, Philippe Nadeau et Thomas Saint-Mars patrouillent depuis huit ans dans le secteur le plus chaud du centre-ville de Montréal, celui du poste 29. Leur vie prend un nouveau tournant lorsqu'ils sont appelés à constater le décès d'un pharmacien dans un stationnement souterrain du centre-ville. Le rapport d'autopsie conclut à une crise cardiaque. Par contre, le concubin du pharmacien n'y croit pas. Étant de simples patrouilleurs, Phil et Tom le renvoient aux homicides. Après une démarche vaine auprès du sergent-détective Delvecchio, indifférent à ses inquiétudes, l'ami du pharmacien pose un geste spectaculaire qui force Phil et Tom à intervenir. Étant les seuls à avoir manifesté un intérêt pour l'enquête, on s'empresse d'assigner Phil et Tom au dossier, étant persuadé que l'incident tombera dans l'oubli. L'enquête prendra des proportions majeures et lèvera le voile sur des secrets insoupçonnés.
