Inge (54), Klaus (53) and Uwe (44) had and still do not have an easy life. The father gave her to the home when the mother died much too early. Inge Kurbjuweit made it to the dreaded ward manager in the hospital. Her brother Klaus has an alcohol problem and has just lost his driver's license as a result. The end of his job as a taxi driver. The endless expanse of East Prussia with its lakes and fields calms the mind and promotes tender love ties between the young notary and Jule. Finally, Krzysztow guides them to his sister's traditional wedding, where his ex-girlfriend Nina vehemently demands her rights and Inge is courted. Only Klaus continues to fight his fears of being abandoned with alcohol and ends up with Uwe in the middle of the wedding cake. But the young gay brother of all people paves the way for him to see Monika again. With all the personal changes, the destination of the journey - the legacy - becomes less and less important. Which is also good, because after all, everything is completely different than expected.
