Spring: The season's started at Quatre-Temps farm. The team of young apprentices arrive from all around the world, including Quebec, Ontario, Italy, New Zealand and the United States. This spring, they'll be facing difficult weather conditions. Their manager Jean-Martin Fortin explains his market gardening career and his agricultural philosophy.

The first harvests: June. The first harvest begins. Jean-Martin Fortin's team complete the season's largest harvest in the rain. We also discover how to pick mixed greens and how to wash vegetables before warehousing. Dany Bouchard has the important task of coordinating the operations.

Market days: Once the vegetables are picked, you have to sell them. We follow the farmers in the different markets to meet their clients. While Chloé and Jean-Martin visit the farm's forest-dwelling pigs, Alice prepares her list of the various treatments for the tomatoes.

The Chess Players

Three-way themed film about trial and error, "The Chess Players" is the chronicle of the 2008 Chess Olympiad in Germany and the failure to reach the set goal, perpetuated through the generation clash. Paradigm on pride and moderation, Stephan Hilpert's documentary is a mosaic of incompatible characters and psychologies. The focus stays on the team captain as a national emblem in Elisabeth Pähtz, the precocious fighting figure, trained by her own father - the youngest national chess champion.
