Aleksey Bazhenov is an experienced and respected surgeon, dedicated to his work. One day, his rare day off, he meets Alia. Also known as On Call 36 Hours II, the medical drama is a sequel to the 2012 TVB hit, The Hippocratic Crush. Network regulars Tommy Leung and Poon Ka Tak once again return to helm the project, while both the opening and ending theme for the series are performed by famed Hong Kong singer and actress Joey Yung. The first episode originally aired on November 4, 2013 and the finale on December 13, 2013, with the drama running for a duration of 30 episodes. The much-anticipated sequel proved to be a hit with the fans, regularly netting the highest viewership amongst its fellow productions for the network.
