Shot guerrilla style in dangerous parts of the southern Philippines, Boy From Nowhere is S.J. Finlay's feature film debut. It features a cast of non-actors whose lives closely mimic the tale of a boy caught up in chain of events beyond his control. After losing his father and home when his fishing village is burned down in an attack, a lost and gentle young boy sets off inland to find his mother and her tribe. Vulnerable and malleable, he battles hunger and solitude, drifting into the wrong crowd as he's brainwashed into becoming a child soldier for the local rebel faction until further loss leads him to find a more meaningful purpose for his life.

Marlena is struggling with a serious marital crisis caused by her husband Zbigniew's alcoholism. Via the Internet, she meets the Nigerian Bruno, who restores Marlene's sense of self-worth and femininity. It turns out, however, that the man has slightly different intentions towards her than creating a relationship with her - The film is inspired by real events and deals with the problem of the influence of new technologies on people's lives.

This is the story of three old friends in downtown Bogotá. A chess player and small-time gambler, a watch maker, and a Spanish homeopath obsessed with poker. Finding comfort in the confines of their routines, they avoid facing failure at all costs. When this comfort is put at risk, each man will have to figure out that in life, as in love, it's never too late to take a chance.

A teacher about to start his first position moves into a well-worn apartment with a mysterious, locked room. He realizes someone else is using the place: A young woman claiming the previous tenant allowed her to stay as she pleases. An official letter expresses doubts about his loyalty to the German constitution and summons him to explain his political stance in an interview prior to beginning teaching. The teacher suspects he's being spied on: People in the neighborhood act suspicious. He breaks open the locked room and is surprised to find it empty. A newspaper article about terrorist bearing an uncanny resemblance to the teacher makes him conclude he's mistaken for the terrorist who has died. The movie's title refers to the supposed mistaken identity: "That dead man is me". He finds the previous tenant in the apartment removing a large sum of cash hidden in the empty room. In the end he joins this man on a trip in his convertible.
