Summary When Demetrio (Jorge Mistral) arrives at a mine to meet his brother Ricardo, he finds that his sibling has committed suicide for the love of a woman. Demetrio promises to avenge Ricardo's death, so he travels to La Habana where he meets Verónica (Marga López), whom he suspects was the reason of Ricardo's demise. Demetrio marries Verónica, cancels their honeymoon and takes her to live in the mine, where he treats her rudely, expecting her to confess her guilt.
