A disillusioned bachelor finds himself torn between his older lover and her daughter.

Earning a living as a driver for rent, Ki-su lives in a studio flat in the basement floor. When he feels choked up, he tries not to let go of hope by playing on the drums. Out of guilt that he might have made Jong-dae sexually handicapped during their younger days, Ki-su took on a role as Jong-dae's guardian on top of being his friend. Jong-dae's dream is to keep a revolver that can make him stronger than the small-time gangsters around town. One day Ki-su's older brother shows up and leave behind his son Yo-han to Ki-su's care.

Seven Songs of the Tundra takes place amidst the infinite white tundra, where a small religious cult sacrifices a reindeer. A ceremonial song accompanies the sacrifice, triggering a narrative divided into seven chapters, which re-enacts a pivotal point in the Nenets natives' history. Deprived of their independence and prosperity, the nomadic reindeer breeders were ostracized from their homeland and asked to abandon not only their language and traditions but also their children that were forced to enroll in boarding schools.
