In 2018 Hafiz and his closest people have gone through many things from happy, sad, disappointed, angry, honest, lying, traitors and many others. And this year Hafiz met with new things and new people.

My wife (Julie) had surgery to remover her thyroid due to cysts that had developed. She went into the procedure with the understanding that it was a simple surgery. I filmed a little of what she went through during her stay at the hospital. The results of her surgery were unexpected.

'Care Farms of the Netherlands' is a beautiful and inspiring film. It tells the story of an innovative program, that combines agriculture with social care for the mentally challenged. It began in 1998 with a handful of farms and only a few clients, today there are more than 1020 farms participating and over 10,000 clients. In this era of government cutbacks in assistance to our nation's most venerable citizens this pragmatic Dutch program offers a new and hopeful vision. Moment to Moment: Teens Growing Up With FASDs explores the lives of four adolescents with FASDs and the effect that prenatal alcohol exposure has had and continues to have on their journeys to finding independence, fulfillment, and understanding the world around them. The film takes an intimate and eye-opening journey into the lives of those affected by FASDs, their families and friends, and captures the challenges that families must overcome as children with FASDs reach maturity and attempt to strike out on their own as young adults.
