The story of Denmark's most famous racehorse and the family behind it.

A car mechanic travels to the south of Spain, to Torremolinos, with the idea of enjoying the so-called "bridge" (a business day that is between two holidays and is taken free by people).

Caught between the street life of Decatur, GA and attempting to create a better life for his wheelchair bound little brother Keith Thompson -aka- Kilo crosses the line where his only options seem to be prison or death. After a series of life threatening events, It takes his mom and praying grandmother to try and guide him in the right direction. Kilo finds himself at the crossroads between love, family and the streets and he has to determine which direction to take or which direction will take him.

Wealthy Abhijot Singh is sent away from his home so that he can stay from the peasants, especially his sweetheart, Mitro. Years later, he does return, and rekindles his romance for Mitro, who has blossomed into a real beauty, much to the chagrin of his dominating father, Kartar, who not only wants him to wed Shivcharan Kaur, but also pressurizes Mitro's family into forcing her to marry someone else. In despair, Mitro kills herself, a devastated Abhijot re-locates to Canada and refuses to get married. He does relent after his father's health suffers and becomes wheel-chair bound. Hoping to get him married to a girl of their choice, Kartar and the rest of the family are not aware of Abhijot's real intentions, and will not be ready for the shock that awaits them when he does return back home.

Young teenagers who fall in love live in poverty in their small village in the 1960s. The girl, Srintil, is a dancer blessed with dancing moves that said have a certain magic. The boy, Rasus, leaves the village to join the army force.

Joy Comes In the Morning, depicts the life changing events brought on by cancer involving the mother and daughter (authors) and then showcases several other case histories of people sharing the same disease.
