Summary In the second part of the series, Colonel Karpov has to endure a severe loss. This event will determine the course of events of the entire season. In order to get to the bottom of the truth, the former head of the 'Pyatnitsky' district criminal police department, gets a job with a politician, running for the Mayor office of some Moscow suburb town. Karpov will plunge into the cruel world of the election race, full of squabbles, intrigue, and most importantly, secrets. And more he learns, more he realizes that the truth runs farther away from him. In the second part of the series, characters will be changed dramatically under the influence of circumstances. So shy Sveta will become a tough business woman, Iwaschuk, on the contrary, will 'roll downhill', and Zotov will manifest himself on the unexpected side.
