"Romeo and Juliet" is about a female college student and an injured young man she meets on the street. They fall in love, not knowing that the girl's police detective father is in the midst of a manhunt to find the young man's physician father, who is wanted for murder.

The story begins with Vasanth (Sanjay) who works in the sub registrar office. He lives with his mother (Urvashi) and hangs out with his two friends (Jeeva, Jegan). His life takes a turn when he meets his school friend Swapna (Nakshatra), a software professional. In no time, they fall in love. However, as they get to know each other better, their relationship begins to change and they split. The story takes a turn with the arrival of Anu (Sangeetha), a journalist and she takes a special place in Sanjay's life. However, both Sanjay and Swapna are unable to get over each other. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.

The father is good at inspiring lost souls in his sweaty gym but hopeless in matters of the heart. He asks his son for shelter and then money, only to be rejected. Then when a young female boxer (Wilma Kaddissi) wins both their hearts, passion enters the ring and the father and son relationship teeters on a knifes edge.

In 1993, Charles Nieuwenhuizen, like the rest of the world, had eagerly awaited the new South Africa, but a tragic incident at work landed him in a coma for 27 years. He wakes up in 2020 in a world that completely confounds him.
