Jim Sheridan: Film and Family

Wandering around wine bars and pubs drinking, thirty-year old worker Oldrich (Petr Kostka), who is celebrating the birth of his son, meets a seventeen-year old lad called Yellow T-shirt Boy (Vladimír Pucholt). Yellow T-shirt Boy is a problematic young man. Forced to leave his job because he kept provoking conflicts, he now finds some satisfaction as a member of a gang led by the failed actor Ancek (Ludek Munzar). He gets no support at home either; his father has vanished without a trace and his mother has been unable to cope. Oldrich learns all this in the small hours of the following day, after waking up next to Yellow T-shirt Boy sobering-up station. The new father is so moved by the young man's life that he starts taking care of the boy.

Kodom Ali is quack used to sell his homemade medicine in train and streets. He happens to be the son of a village chairman Dobir Uddin Chowdhury who decepts with his mother for her vast property. Chairman's another son Faruk studies in a Medical college and about to be a doctor. Faruk marries Saleha who works in the house where he lived. Dobir gets her out from his house after Faruk goes to London for higher studies. Saleha comes again to her aunt's house as she is pregnant. After giving birth to a child and leaves in the street. Kodom Ali finds the child and takes him to his home. Kodom Ali meets Saleha and take her to his home too and knows that his father Dobir Uddin is liable for her mischief too. Now, Kodom Ali takes action against Dobir Uddin who is accountable for all these misery.
